Great view and location, with beautiful grounds. Adequate food and friendly staff.
Price seemed high for the quality and facilities offered. Some rooms were claustrophobic and the cleanliness of the kitchen and shower/toilet areas was inconsistent.

The hostel had a beautiful building and gardens, surrounded by woodland. The location was great for walking and exploring the area. We enjoyed taking the Monsal trail and going through the tunnels. the staff was very helpful and friendly, and we were upgraded to a larger room at no extra cost.
The breakfast was good value, but the drinks were a bit expensive. It was also a bit of a trek to the nearest pub, especially at night when it was dark.

We spent our Christmas holiday at a hostel surrounded by the gorgeous countryside. The location was perfect for hiking and cycling activities. They offered a tasty breakfast buffet that was worth the price. Our room was clean and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. Additionally, we were welcomed by the polite and friendly staff.
We had to wait until 5 pm for check-in as the staff wasn't available earlier. The room was quite small and basic, as we expected from a hostel. However, we found that there were limited power outlets, which made charging our devices a bit inconvenient.

Great location, close to scenic trails and nearby attractions. . Clean and well-maintained shared facilities, including bathrooms and communal kitchen.
Noisy environment, especially if placed above the kitchen area. . Limited seating options in communal spaces, uncomfortable for relaxation.

We recently stayed at a hostel in a beautiful location near some great bike trails. the area was home to a pub that served tasty meals, and there was also entertainment down the road. the rooms were comfortable, with decent showers and helpful staff. the bar was a nice addition, and the pizza was delicious.
We did have to endure unnecessary background music in the lounge for hours. It would have been nice to have the option of a quiet room or individual speaker control.

What a fantastic location! The surroundings were stunning, and we enjoyed wandering in the woodland area and taking in the fantastic views during our stay. The staff provided excellent customer service, always willing to help and making us feel welcome. the food was delicious and exceptional value for money. We particularly enjoyed the variety of breakfast options, which set us up for a day of exploring. The local bus stop right outside was incredibly convenient for getting around.
The double-decker bunk beds were not comfortable for us. We couldn't use the top bunk, which made sleeping quite a challenge.
